![]() ![]() ![]() Spinning Silver is a tale of bargaining and survival. There was also the problem with unmarked multiple POVs which threw me off in the beginning but once I figured out how to distinguish them, it wasn’t an issue later on. However, this book is long and detailed with some parts that were not really necessary. There was some darkness in the story that appealed to me. I adored this story with elements of fairytale and folklore. This was what my life was to be from now on: trapped among these ice-hearted people, filling their king’s treasure-chests with gold. The dented golden cup stood on the table, taunting me with the reminder he’d given me unnecessarily. He drew me in with his motivation, pride, and honor. I knew right from the beginning I was going to love the Staryk King. ![]() I loved seeing how the story unraveled and entwined their lives together. They clawed their way out with courage and cunningness. The story followed the lives of three women who were thrown into a life they didn’t ask for. But her success caught the attention of the cold-hearted Staryk king from the frozen kingdom and she was forced to make a deal in order to save herself and her world. As a daughter of a too kind moneylender, she took matters into her own hand by taking over the business and reviving her family’s finances. Miryem Mandelstam desperately needed to save her family from poverty. ![]()
